Canning Softball Association was established in 1981. The association was created to bring all levels of the game to one place and enjoy our Saturday afternoons at Centenary Park, in Wilson. Starting as a Men's competition, we had many participate from regular softballers looking for somewhere local to play, to envious parents of Tee-ballers looking to have a go at a diamond sport. The competition soon expanded to add a Women's league and has been growing ever since. With many veterans of the sport, an atmosphere of real community and competition has been created.

Throughout the years our facilities have been upgraded giving us new club/change rooms, canteen and bar areas to enjoy. With great volunteers and members to keep the day running, we are able to enjoy post-game socialising throughout the season. We work hard to maintain our family friendly environment, atmosphere and progress as an association, and would love for you to join us. If you, a family member, a friend or even Sharon from your local supermarket, are keen to have a go, get in touch through our registrar, and we can point you in the right direction.

Look forward to seeing you down there!

Welcome to the 2019 Canning Softball Association winter competition. Teams who participated in the 2018 winter competition, are now invited to nominate for the 2019 Winter competition. Delegates, please complete and submit the team registration form as soon as possible so that fixtures and grading can be completed prior to the delegates meeting. New delegates, please email  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Season Details:
Delegates Meeting: TBC
Season Opening Round: Saturday April 6th 2019
There will be a general bye over the WA Day long weekend on June 3rd.
Fees for the winter season competition will remain the same as 2018 and will be $1000 per team, reduced to $900 if paid in full by the 21st April 2018.
Given the popularity of the women's competition, priority will be given to returning teams from the 2018 season, with a waitlist established for new teams. Returning 2018 women's teams will need to confirm they are returning by Monday 25th February. If any teams have not responded by this date, it will be assumed your club/team is not returning and your position will be opened up to new teams on the waiting list. New teams are still encouraged to nominate as the waitlist will be prioritised as first in, first served.
Nominations close off on SUNDAY 3RD MARCH 2019 and only fully completed forms (including full team list) will be accepted as a valid nomination. There will be a meeting with all delegates held, location and time to be confirmed. All scorecards, scorebooks, gameballs and fixtures will be handed out on this evening so your attendance on the night is required.

A note to members, particularly coaches and umpires. If your team hasn't already done so, could you please download and read a copy of the “Common Bylaws” that have just been added to the website. These bylaws predominately cover the rules that are particular to our competition and knowledge of these will eliminate a lot of the disagreements that can occur on game days.

As with every other sporting club in Western Australia the Association is required to abide by the Liquor Licencing rules. Over the summer many clubs in our area had a visit by the Licencing Authority and it may be our turn next. Breaches of licencing rules result in substantial fines for individuals and Associations along with the possible withdrawal of the licence. Each team would need to pay an extra $1000.00 in team registration fees each year if we lost our licence.

A requirement of the licence is that all alcohol is consumed within the designated areas and this will be strictly enforced from this week on. The Association has no choice but to enforce the rules and offenders will incur penalties which will include fines and / or loss of points for their team. It is your responsibility NOT to breach the guidelines and there will be no exceptions.

The designated area will be clearly marked. We will move some diamonds closer to this area to enable easier viewing of games. Consumption of alcohol outside if this area will not be tolerated so please do not drink alcohol around diamonds, near the council BBQ’s or on the wrong side of the rope.
